- I love ZINES, and independent magazines and newspapers… For me, the written word, alone or in combination with pictures or illustrations, is powerful, enlightening, comforting, exciting, hot or simply funny. Although there is wonderful digital media, I need a real Zine (publication). I want to touch the paper, feel the weight of the printed or xeroxed word, smell its oudor. I love every single of my ziness - the per-zine, the fanzine and - especially my photoZines. Yeah, ziness really are gritty and arouses the DIY beast in me . It’s important that we hold onto that tactility and not get too sucked into our digital realms. Abdul Dube - zinester, collecto

The focal point of my photography is the unseen, the ephemeral, and the emergence of world under the mysterious and ever-changing sky.
My influences are multiple spanning from painting and sculpture, via philosophy - mainly the hermeneutics of thinkers like Heidegger, Vattimo, Gadamer, Arendt and more - to photographers as different as Eikoh Hosoe, Shomei Tomatsu, Shoji Ueda, Daido Moriyama, Masahisa Fukase, Kikuji Kawada, and Ikko to Magnum photographers.

Former US Army, Farmer, Security, Factory Worker and other pursuits. Now I write, enjoy Photography and study Nature. Most of my poems are somewhat dark. My Halloween efforts are inspired by Poe, my general poems by life.
Mostly though I'm just inspired by the words alone.

Musician, writer, photographer and artist who makes a living doing voice over work. Fun fact about me: I’m absolutely terrible at self promotion so much so that it moves into the territory of self demotion.
H.J. Cross Poetry (@hjcross_poetry)
My poetry is often the unraveling of my deepest thoughts. I find ordering them into poetry can give me clarity. I might also include the occasional short story. Sometimes, it is raw and transparent. Other times, it may be a way for me to release some destructive thinking with sarcasm and ultimately act better. However, all of it is me.

After Facebook accused me of not being real & demanded proof in the form of documents, I packed my bags into a washtub and landed on this tropical island called Ello. This is my first day exploring that island. I'm hoping to find coconuts.
Update: I'm polyamorous, pagan (Wiccan AND Druid), an aromatherapist, and I have a cat. I have anxiety and depression. My life is tenuous, and I write about that. I also write about relationships, religion, whatever's on my mind. Unlike much of ello, I almost never post art photography or pictures of brilliant high-end sculptures I've made out of earwax. Actually, I haven't created a single earwax sculpture, ever. Sorry.
I'm a writer and I love art, music, and nature. I like transcendence and spirituality and slowing down enough to appreciate and live yoga and meditation. I want to go to the Broad but I have been too inside my own world. I hate day jobs. I think fashion is anti-fashion. I long to have a job at which I can wear what expresses me. I am fighting the idea that animals understand more than people. I think family of origin can be an illusion. I don't abide by astrology for reals but I am an Aquarius and I love la luna
