Colorful, emotional, and impulsive is the best way to describe Lauren Stamer’s art. Exploring different canvases to grace with her vivid color palette, she’s found an outlet to poetically express the depths of her mind. Having only started painting last year, she’s already had multiple pieces on display at seven different art collective events and is excited to see where this form of expression can take her. you’re perfect, babe. 2018. 24”x48”. acrylic and glitter on canvas. it was a sunny afternoon in a forest in northern california. the inspiration for this piece came to the artist while sitting in an open air temple, high on mushrooms, staring at a piece of abalone from the california coast. she quickly sketched it out in a journal and painted it fireside later that night.
new territory. 2017. 24”x36”. acrylic and glitter on canvas. the feeling you get when you love someone but somehow do not wish to possess them was something new for the artist. this kind of love and appreciation for another human being brewed feelings of deep satisfaction and contentment in her soul.
