These are my stompy boots that I bought in 2007 for £120. I've worn them almost every weekend for the past seven years. The soles were replaced three years ago, and again last month, at a cost of £45 each time. I also had some of the upper re-stitched most recently. For seven years of good, comfortable wear, I think that was money well spent. I don't see myself replacing them any time soon.
I actually saw a pair of these in the window of the G-Star shop last week, but was informed that they were an old pair and not actually for sale. A friend had asked me about them. G-Star do still sell boots, but their styles have moved on quite a bit since I bought them. As fashion is wont to do.
If I absolutely had to buy a new pair of boots, right now, I'd probably be looking at a pair of Clark's Norton Rise at £180. I can't really afford to spend anywhere near that without good reason though. My last pair of winter work boots cost me £45 off of Amazon.
