Yesterday, we did not vote for Trump. Our generation overwhelmingly chose love. Our generation was ready to elect the first woman president. How did he win? How did so many people vote for a racist, a misogynist, a real estate agent? Because they fear those that do not resemble them? Because they have been oppressed by a system that HRC represents? Because they wanted to teach America a lesson? Regardless, here we stand. We mourn the impending loss of a Woman's right to choose. We mourn the loss of environmental and scientific initiatives started by the Obama administration. We mourn the loss of the hope that a bully could never come out on top. We mourn the millions of immigrants who may be forced to leave America. We mourn that Muslim Americans live in fear.
But now, we must work. Work harder than we have before, with a clear vision in mind. Our generation is stronger than Trump's army of racists. Work to reform America's political system, to make sure nothing like this ever happens again. Work to teach our friends and America's children about equality and justice. Work to rebuild, and not wait four years to do so. The future is literally in our hands. Viva la revolución. Viva America. #Imwithus
