All Star Errand Girl / Milk, eggs, bread, I'm fragile, a love hate relationship with the US male. Fakey bacon, seltzer, deleted text message make me ugly. They make me breadsticks, fish sandwich, hush puppies, coleslaw, mozzarella, insecure. . .
I made and mailed this selfie portrait through the mail like a postcard this summer after a fight with a US male which ended in a rebellious fast food binge. In retrospect, it was funny. The ladies at the post office are awesome.
I created this body of lovingly-created, handmade selfies to document the complications and whirlwind soulsuck of life these days. Tucked into this series, I reference my joie de vivre, overextension, overwhelm, imagination, ego, insecurity, silliness, spirituality, and morbidity. I paired my collages with my writing to tell the whole story.
I’m an artist, mother, and teacher with a big love for life, an appreciation for ephemera, and an eye for photography, working hard in Tamaqua, PA, USA.
