Strange. Letters and phone calls once set up physical contact. Now, with email, texting, photo & video sharing, chat, video chat, flesh was less crucial. And yes, I had an extremely uneasy feeling about the very nature of the communication revolution, as in: what had it done to the endlessly rich unpredictability and spontaneity of a shared, corporeal experience? How much had it done to assist people in concealing or disguising their raw self from their OWN eyes, let alone the eyes of others?
