My dissertation proposal is in the final draft, and again I am looking at adjusting my methodology. Now that I am here, I know more. As it should be. I want to be involved in an academic offering that turns people on. Wakes someone up. Even if just one person for a moment. An essential ingredient in that is truth. The methodology must be true to the purpose. The project design must have integrity. There is a sanctity to transpersonal research that I intend to honor. And this project has its own pace. I am just learning it. The methodology must match the pace. I skipped a step, but I can see it now with more clarity. Like coming out of anesthesia.
"...we need a psychology that breaks our hearts, because only that kind of psychology could awaken us to our entanglements in strategies of dissociation, to the despairs of trauma, to grief from mourning, and to potential joy in restoration and healing (Watkins & Shulman, 2008)."
