30 Second Book Review —
How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe
Everyone has a time machine. Everyone is a time machine. It's just that most people's time machines are broken. The strangest and hardest kind of time travel is the unaided kind. People get stuck, people get looped. People get trapped. But we are all time machines.
I finished this book a few weeks ago, but I’ve been slacking on my review. I bought this book 100% based on the cover, which was designed by John Gall and the illustrated by Peter Quach. The print quality is very nice too. A neon orange paired with a metallic silver . Anyways, I gave the book a B because it felt a little self-indulgent at times. In hindsight, I guess that is to be expected when you are reading a book about time travel which is in the story as a book being written about time travel... but it just felt a little overdone. I think I was a bit more annoyed at the time, because looking back I did like the book quite a bit.
I am now reading REAMDE by Neal Stephenson. It is pretty hefty so my next review might not be for a while.
