Used, not sold.
Sori Yanagi said it right: "The fundamental problem is that many products are created to be sold, not used." We've always held that close to our hearts when curating products for Yes. How do we stay in business selling products that are made so that you will never need to buy a product of the same nature again. Or, how do we stand behind the products we carry saying the design is lasting, yet have the urge to design and produce our own version of the product. I don't know the answer to these questions, but trying to find them out has been one of the most satisfying parts of owning and planning for the future of Yes. So much to learn about what makes a good design, better design.
