Hey folks. This week we’re wrapping up Black History Month with an art round-up from the team at @rlegacy, launching a fresh Artist Invite with iMAE - ArtEZ x See All This Magazine, and announcing a new Guest Editor. We also have some new product tweaks and of course some banger giveaways.
Meet Ello Guest Editor Isabel Castillo Guijarro
Isabel (@byisabel) is a NY-based illustrator and designer from Madrid. You’ve seen her work across Ello (duh) as well as Refinery29, Print Magazine and The New York Times. She’s also Ello’s next Guest Editor and will be running a “30 Artists in 30 Days” curation. Follow @byisabel and check back in on our homepage to keep up.
Black Art Matters
We're celebrating the end of Black History Month with an art round-up curated by the team at R.Legacy (@rlegacy), who have been responsible for the incredible art of our Black Art Matters category.
"The selected posts capture elements and experiences of black culture through eclectic viewpoints of the artists."
Enjoy, and check out the full roundup.
Underscore Update
Underscore’s pre-sale is over and the monograph + zine are now shipping. Check it out, it is chock full of inspiration and insight from Jessica Walsh and 9 other amazing artists.
Get yours here.
Footer Behavior Update
We made a few updates to how the website footer behaves. Now when you go to a post detail, the footer will aways be hidden - unless you hover over the bottom of the page for a second. This allows people on laptop monitors more screen real estate to take in amazing art.
The footer should behave better in Safari as well, previously it could get a little jumpy sometimes.

Image Performance
We increased image performance on the Editorial experience, all streams in grid view, and category images on Discover (a little less noticeable). We have some other performance improvements in the works as well. I’ll keep you posted.
