Qatar has been accused several times of human rights violations of workers that contributed to the construction of the World Cup infrastructure; an Amnesty International report speaks of over 6,500 dead workers, many of whom come from very poor areas of Pakistan, Bangladesh and India.
The high organizational costs will be covered in part by the sponsors and in part by the box office revenues: to attend a match in the knockout phase, fans will have to shell out from 610 euros to 1630 in the most comfortable seats.
