The relationship between geometry and the accidental can be seen as one between order and chaos, fragmentaion and rebuilding. It is these realtionships that underpin my work. In nature, growth structures are geometric; nature geometricizes to rebuild in each cycle. The process of fragmentaion of traditional narratives and their reincarnation as part of a hybrid culture has always been my artistic fascination as a inhabitant of two extremely diverse and globalised cities: London and Sao Paulo. GUR (@rugbygur)
Working in partnership with the artisan weaver of rugs, GUR invites artists to express themselves on this support with a very specific technique using the same materials with the authenticity of a traditional kitchen rug but now much more fun. GUR can be the first place where you put your feet in the morning, a picnic friend or a frame in your living room. Hopefully the collection will keep on growing with new collaborations, keep on checking then!

Artist (Collect - Disassemble - Create)
In my art, I study people and their mutual connections. These relationships are a recurring theme. My work is an ongoing study, and each single work is a link, a next step in my process. Each work teaches me something about my relationship towards others, about mutual connections and bonds.
Loneliness, power, control, dependency and trust are recurring themes.
