The very first Hannah Arendt drawing. Yes, I use it as an avatar, but it is not me. It is a reverence to the courage of looking beyond the surface, beyond the obvious, beyond that, which is soothing and misguiding, looking at that which hurts and why it hurts. Looking at that, which deforms and blackens us and why we do so. Reverence also, for the fact that such people stand up and can be heard in the West. Something severely lacking in other places. Something we should not let slip out of our grip, just because it is uncomfortable anddoesn't bring us money. It brings other things, which are around long after that money is spent.
