A few days ago, I bought two sketchbooks. One of manila paper, the other plain white paper. I'm having this "Back to Basics" fever; more over for practicing and experimenting, but also as a exploration of myself. I tend to draw/paint "too fast, even for a good result", something that my professors always complained about me back in the academy. It's not bad. But I felt I was missing out of the whole process. Maybe this sketch may look like the typical portrait, typical lighting, etc. But it was necessary, as a exercise of taking my bloody time.
The other sketchbook on the other hand, is more primal. Raw. It's still scary.
(Bad photo quality ftw)
