Miss Machine - INVIDIA - album art.
The task of putting the album-art together for all of Miss Machine's albums/EPs is an ongoing process for me, and one day all this sort of stuff will be available as bonus content on the Chelsea and Millie site (http://chelseaandmillie.com), but in the meantime I thought I may as well post a few bits and pieces from this particular side-project of mine, here and there, from time to time.
The cover image is a combination of two disparate elements — the All-Seeing Eye, and an octagram made with the Arabic word اقرا; the first Quranic word in order of arrival, and meaning "read" (letter Qaf eight times, letter 'Alif sixteen times).
The "back-cover" image features an Ægishjálmur (the Helm of Awe, aka the Helm of Terror) that I whipped up the other day, which is an ancient Icelandic magical stave used to induce fear and to protect against abuse of power.
Björk has one tattooed on her arm y'know.
