If you take one thing away from reading anything I have ever written, it's that you should spend good money on good socks.
I took a chance a year ago and spent $30 on a single pair of socks. I have grown up on bags of $5 gym socks or $8 thin work socks and it just occurred to me I should try spoiling myself and see just what it was like to be a rich person with fancily protected and comforted feet.
I don't think I can ever return to $5 bags of socks.
I got these socks, I don't know the brand, I know they say "born worn", one word each, under the balls of the feet and that they are amazing. The fabric cushions the feet in the right places, the socks are thick at both the ball and heel of the foot meaning if you walk too heavily on either longevity is still secured. The socks are soft to touch even after just over a year of wear, seriously, washed every week for a year (because I can guarantee you, if I am doing laundry, these socks are in it) they are still soft to touch and to be inside of.
There's no little balls of fabric coming off, no threats of a hole forming, they aren't limp and formless, these socks are amazing.
I am using my social media space to tell you: spend money on expensive socks, it feels amazing.
