Joshua Bartolome is a Filipino-Canadian writer living in Calgary, Alberta. In 2017, his screenplay, “The Red Death,” won the Silver Screamfest award for best horror script. "Aswang," a tale of poverty, misery and violence, was published in the anthology "Tales of Blood and Squalor" edited by Lee Allen Howard. Another short story, “Sparagmos,” has been published in the 11th Philippine Speculative Fiction anthology. In 2018, his short screenplay, "Quietus," won first place at the Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival. "The Crossing," a feature film script, was shortlisted for the prestigious Screencraft and WeScreenplay feature film competitions.
