"Fish Friday" 2017
By: Savannah Carnes
Savannah has been an artist since she was 3 years old. After spending much of her childhood in Ohio, she attended Columbus College of Art and Design. Savannah received her BFA in Fine Art and Painting. Shortly after graduation she took the opportunity to relocated to Atlanta, GA. Savannah still resides there today maintaining her practices in paint and drawing.
This body of work is titled "Fish Friday" after spending a small time as a live-abroad guest in Wilmington, NC. She spent a few days observing the marina life, and people who lived within the marina. Savannah felt compelled by the sustainability and reusable resources available for survival. This minimal experience also inspired her own resourcefulness and minimalism applied to her art practice.
