Landscape in the Artist work is appropriated with pictorial snapshots of nature in different forms. Majority of works being painted countryside to sandy beaches. There is always a sense of horizon and oasis within the natural beauty of a particular land. To myself a landscape is a personal snapshot of the artist moment. When portraying a landscape, it does not always have to be a snapshot of nature. Creating a work of art is a landscape in itself. There is the appetite for desire, loss, hope, and a yearning of understanding within the artist, trying to be portrayed in a single frame.Artists live for the evaluation and recognition of time and space within their daily lives, always trying to capture the sense of a fleeting moment personal to them. A landscape can be used to cherish that certain moment in time whether it is nostalgic or wishful. The monumental moment captures in these landscapes should be viewed in high regard, due to the allowance of the artist letting the viewer into a world so vulnerable and beautiful to them. The artist has revealed the few simple pleasures to the viewer, allowing them to see the person behind the scenes. Then the viewer can appropriate himself or herself to something they’ve already come to terms with in their own lives. Slowly all of these connections create a bigger understanding of social status and hierarchy for people in the world, yet allowing the viewer and artist have a simple connection beyond human relations.
