Beginning as a child with my mother, ceramist, and giving the first steps in this art, later I incorporate techniques that allowed me to expand the repertoire of shapes, textures and designs, to this I added my research and inquiry that gave me my training as a Biologist .
I focus my work on people and place. I look for forms and materials to communicate my thoughts.
Environment, evolution of man, development on the planet and consequences on nature, are keys of my work. They have always an inherent relationship with nature.
I always try to depict a positive message too - the persistence of nature in recapturing what once belonged to the earth.
I have found a very strong point of connection with the mud-clay, because the fact of creation and destruction from this, is organic and symbolizes to sum up the beginning of our own lives.
Nature, fragility, weightlessness and repetition are all key elements that inspire me to explore and shape the porcelain with spontaneity, creating new organic forms inspired by the natural world. I am fascinated by the concept of multiples and the possibilities that it offers me to work with an extensive range of scale.

01 – Amoeba
Proteus, the Greek god who changed shape. Amoebas were created by Proteus, are parasites of man.
Amoebas have taken the form of those dishes, have been parasited, have become part of these human cells.
This work represents the way in which certain individuals begin their cycle in the body of living beings. The cilia are extending upward, as if seeking to others where parasite.
AMOEBA, represents the first life forms, some of which can mutate into the body of other living beings.

02 – Primordial Soup
Life hatches in the original broth.
These dishes served, biological invasions arise.
Dishes start to deform because these forms of life want to be part of them.
They take roots. They take it.
This rich broth containing organic compounds as carbon, mainly nitrogen and hydrogen. It is exposed to ultraviolet rays and electricity.
The result is that some simple structures, an early version of DNA-based living creatures are generated. Part of this result gave rise to the theory of Evolution.
Artwork tells the story of the origin of life on earth.
It is a tribute to the Russian biologist Alexander Oparin.

03 – Mal Nacidas (Badly born)
Sample of mutant species. They were not genetically wanted result.
The work prepares the viewer to be transported to strange worlds where nature seems to have thrown the rule book out the window.
Leads the audience on a journey of discovery to understand the powerful forces that create the mysteries of evolution.

06 - Genesis
Origin of life, the fragility of design, combining two cells, a new alignment.
GENESIS suggests thinking about the origin of life, in the combinations, creating an image that feeds the viewer enthusiasm, establishing a link between their sense with the object.
At the same time understanding the unpredictability established.

09 - Myzocitosis
Myzocytosis (from Greek: myzein, (μυζεῖν) meaning "to suck" and kytos (κύτος) meaning "container", hence referring to "cell") is a method of feeding found in some heterotrophic organisms. It is also called "cellular vampirism" as the predatory cell pierces the cell wall and/or cell membrane of the prey cell with a feeding tube, the conoid, sucks out the cellular content and digests it.
With this work I intend to represent a series of individuals capable of destroying the structures of other living beings. Predator cell containers.
