Merel is an artist from Amsterdam with a background in neuropsychology.
She makes paintings, drawings, photo’s and combinations of the three. Her subject-matter is the human interior landscape. From there on she takes a broader perspective researching psychology, literature and spiritual theories from different cultures.
About Merel’s work:
"The artist Merel Ellen shows us her own mirror in an enchanting way. She realizes that to be human at this time, one must embrace the mirror. She does so with an all-consuming courage.
Her work shows us what she fi

DEGANN(1989) graduated from hogeschool voor de kunsten in Amsterdam(2011).
My paintings and watercolours are vivid and aesthetically liable images that sometimes disguise an atrabilious element. Mental vulnerability and transience are central themes in the work. The multiple layers in the paintings create an elusive form. Like light, the works are simultaneously fleeting and present. This corresponds with my perception of paintings as breathing organisms. This is why they are not made as mere artistic statements, but originate from a sincerely felt inner necessity. I search for shapes that intrigue and convince me.

Interested in the street life and public spaces, in his photography Salvatore committed the flash so instinctive and not authorized, he is very close to the people and the lights without alerting them, impressing in his photographs and expressions unique and unrepeatable moments.
Edith Meijering (@poespas)
"Life is a dream, and that dream is real."
With a strong confident moving hand and a-typical colours this gifted Dutch Painter,
Edith Meijering (1962) seems to show us a mirror that creates questions about the Human Condition.
She loosens and stirs, searching for “the picture behind the created image”.
By combining several forms of expression and reality, the artist reacts on the boundaries between reality and fiction with authenticity and role-playing games.
As if she embraces the dark side of the psychological condition of the mind of mankind and combines this with all the ideas and mixed feelings about cultural acceptations.
