Mike Brewer (@mikebrewerart)
Mike Brewer believes most people think that the female body is the most beautiful thing in nature. His paintings capture this beauty, but they are more than nudes they are also portraits of young women on a journey of self-discovery. The models in his paintings have bravely allowed others to see them naked, but this is only a part of who they are. They are both confidant and vulnerable. Mike’s realist paintings are in oil using techniques refined in the 19th century by the academic artists combined with the color exploration of the impressionists of the same period.

Michele Ann Murtaugh, 1969, American, Born in Arizona, based in Sacramento, California,
In Michele Ann Murtaugh’s figurative narrative paintings, her subjects address the current
condition of human intimacy, the desire of it and the lack of it. She combines realist human
form with surrealistic atmospheric nuances to give the viewer the feeling of being in the
subconscious. Her large scale oil paintings combine delicate, refined and crude brush work to
intensify the psychological contradiction of surrender with immediacy and impatience. Her
subjects are often nude or costumed in inorganic fantastic materials. They can be found masked or uncomfortably gaz
Kirsten Stingle (@kirstenj01)
Kirsten Stingle’s sculptures respond to a modern paradox: a wired and globally connected world that creates individual isolation. Working in the genre of narrative ceramics, Kirsten fuses her richly detailed porcelain figures with mixed-media to further our understanding of ourselves, others, and our place within the contemporary world. She strives to reveal human commonalities, exposing layers of both light and shadow that thrive underneath our polite societal veneer. Kirsten also uses antique relics to further the narrative and remind the viewer of the inescapable pull of our shared human history.

Jodi Gerbi (@jodi1234)
I paint resilience but not always through the depiction of the figure. My oil paintings are realistic portrayals of the garbage, trash cans and drain pipes as a way to convey the idea that humans are often required to find something beautiful in a hard situation in order to keep going. The ability of a human being to do this is the essence of resilience.

The worlds I paint are imaginative. The paintings originate from dreamlike ideas that pop up in my head.
The origine of these images can be texts, music or other paintings.
During painting, anything can arise and change in the painting. Eventually an image emerges in which the composition, use of color and figuration form a wondrous individuality.
