I'm really fascinated with folklores and myths, I guess because I grew up listening to those stories.
This one's called a Manananggal, a very popular type of ghoul in Philippine folklore. They're usually describe as a beautiful maiden, solitary and nomadic I suppose because they can't afford to stay long in one place. They have this massive bat wings and splits their body into two so that it would be lighter for them to fly. They prey on pregnant women, sucking the juice of the baby out of the mother with their threadlike tongue. You can kill one by putting salt on lower part of her body so that she may never reunite with it 'til sunrise. And because they are some sort of vampire-like creatures, they're prone to sunlight. well at least when they're body is not whole.
