Wonder Festival Winter 2017 #wf2017w (23 photos)
A biannual (February and August) event in Japan featuring models and garage kits by both amateur and pro individuals as well as companies. I had the pleasure of attending my first WF just this last weekend (2/19/17) and was absolutely stunned by the excellence of the models, kits and figures on display and for sale. As a science fiction and space opera lover, that's what I was most interested in. While the event itself covers a huge range of genres, I was excited that there were science fiction (especially mecha) figures there in force. I didn't have a ton of time and it was my first event, I was a little shy about taking photos of everything I saw despite the plethora of signs that welcomed it. Next year, I'll do better. In fact, next year, I'll take a better camera than my cell phone. Below are most of the images I took of figures I took in just one hall alone (there were five in total). Enjoy.
Last two photos are of products I bought, the gray ball-joint figure (which only ran 800 yen or 8 USD) and the photobook (which ran 2000 yen or 20 USD). Both VERY reasonably priced in my opinion.
