Here we are, surveying the foundations of a newly settled online community that's teeming with optimism for the metropolis it's destined to become. A new temporary city. Every seven years or so, the kids move on. The migration cycle continues. What becomes of tomorrow's blighted networks: yesterday MySpace, today Facebook Twitter, Instagram, and someday, inevitably, this? If they last in some archival medium, we may revisit the ruins of our old neighborhoods as the sensation of antiquity accelerates.
