Emma Chalut is a student and artist currently working and residing in Seattle, Washington. With pieces based on her own experiences, she creates work that serves as a conduit between observer and event, letting the viewer fill in the space with their own memories and emotions. Working both two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally, Emma creates figurative as well as abstract pieces, and she is interested in creating work that is both understated and engaging, straddling the line between personal and relatable with pieces that display her deliberate and minimal use of formal elements.
