I thought I'd hit some sort of Seasonal Affective Disorder wall, but it just turns out that Austin (Land of Endless Blooms and Molds and Fungi) has once again assaulted my sinuses. I feel like I have a chest full of semi-liquid cement. I don't feel sick, just...involuntarily anchored at port.
This is a two-show-week for both Electric Shadow and Giant Size, a single-show-week for Thank You For Calling!, and maybe Fire Talk With Me (no idea if they've a Thursday Special yet).
The New Show With a Name Not Yet Divulged that mostly-stars Fancy Man Rich Stevens might begin this week. If not this week, pretty immediately. It is and isn't a certain kind of radio show, such that neither of us are happy about it being anything other than genre-defying.
We are shooting for a 20/30-minute show, weekly. There are enough podcasts vying for attention and time. Ours can be short.
We've been working on it for months and gotten jaded and thrown it out around seven(teen) times. Feels ready and baked with malaise.

The strangest and at once best "professional" news I've gotten in a while is that pending signing the offer, I'm "the new voice of" a...brand...that I like very, very much.
Deciding to get back into voiceover work has taken off surprisingly quickly and without a great deal of stress.
Getting paid to do work is great. Doing so for nice people who make a really cool thing you like is a radically better proposition, such as in the case of "BRAND THING".
