Through deconstruction, abstraction, and the exploration of the dichotomy of flatness and form, Molly explores social and personal constructs of beauty. Stemming from her exploration of society’s restrictive and unrealistic expectations of the ideal woman and female form, Molly has recently begun a series in which she looks to the women in her life for inspiration, rather than the images of “perfect” women that you see in the media. Why look up to a woman’s beauty that is unattainable, when you can look up to your mother, sister, and grandmother－the women from which you inherited those features that make you uniquely you?
