about ten days ago, our street, which is also the main street of the village, swapped its usual cars and small lorries against a cluster of roughly 20 cows.
it didn't surprise me much since we live in a mountainous area where farmers make their living mostly out of raising cattle, and they still practice transhumance in the area.
the one thing that really struck me was that the farmer was running ahead of the herd, as if he was the dominant male of the group; a very impressive situation indeed!
