@absinthe Now THIS is a good place to start a journey into absinthe. It's not particularly potent (for absinthe) at 106 proof, so the flavors are forefront and easy to discern. Unlike some of the more trendy recipes, this one offers a more basic, no-frills approach - instead of tossing in a bunch of non-traditional flavors, it simply relies on the "holy trinity" of anise, fennel, and wormwood and strives to be perfectly in balance. To this end, it succeeds in ways that other brands only wish they could. It's a perfect introduction to the green fairy (even though this one is clear) and it's one I keep on hand when I want to remind my palate what absinthe is supposed to taste like.
