I have noticed @mattrappaport (and others) discussing the new Tsu social media site. While I normally might have caught on to this right away, my current experimentation here with Ello was a barrier to me exploring yet another new social network during the same window.
Based on my initial research, it seems legit to me. Tsu gives back 90% of its ad revenue to its users. Here's a good article from the New York Times, explaining how it works >> http://mslnk.bz/1wKmmpP
I am wondering what y'all think of this idea?
The developers create the platform, but the users create the content. It is this shared partnership that gives value to any social network, but corporations like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. share none of that revenue with their billions of hard working content creators.
Alternatives are good! If Facebook et al are going to put ads on your creativity, shouldn't they reward the relationship they have with you?
