Okay, so here it goes.
I don't know if it's just me, but have you ever been in a situation where you have gone, "man, this is just way simpler...why didn't we do this before?!" I know I have. Case in point, a few years ago while texting or chatting a person up...we were all like, I wish there was this THING that made chatting faster...no delay and then it hit us. We were talking about instant messaging xD I mean this was like in between texting and all the messenger services we had now. We were all, "Wow, this is so fast and instant and has no delay and I can see when you are typing and anticipate a response almost immediately!"
Just like now. I've been having some difficulty with my wrists and hands...and well everything else but that is besides the point. So I have been trying to retrain myself to not hold my ipad mini all the time but to prop it up instead. WELL. It's kind of obnoxious to have it in a case and propped all hotdog style and then you laugh at it collapses and falls down. I got to thinking, man...I wish I could watch my netflix on something a little larger with a sturdier prop. And it occurred to me, I have a computer. A nice one that is bright, can be plugged in, has a thing called a HINGE (magic I daresay!) and it's nice and large for my ailing old eyes and chronic headaches.
So that got me to thinking in my shower, because that is where all deep-thinkers go.
So now I'm attempting to use my computer more to see what benefits it could have. I mean my typing posture is pristine so it should cut down on wrist issues. I can actually type up word vomit on here since it's much more difficult to use the mobile version (which I'm FINE with). I can use the internet as it was meant to be utilized, natively without a pretty little parcel called an app for each website I desire to visit. It also means I use all my devices more efficiently and they all have a purpose.
I have entertained the idea though of trading in my ipad mini and just sticking with my good ole macbook, chromebook and my future iphone 6+. It's not fully formed and I'm not 100% certain I could completely cut that cord, but it's a thought.
So that is just a random idea, observation...thought I've been having. Is Technology De-Evolution and where it will start/stop.
