Connected and 3D printed, the SOLID bike gives directions through vibrating handlebars
"SOLID features a navigation system built into the bike that alerts the rider to upcoming turns with vibrations in the handlebars, leaving the rider free to keep their eyes on the road.
They created a smartphone app called “Discover My City” which includes five curated journeys in and around Portland, showing riders the sights and letting newcomers in on some local treasures.
The app communicates with the bike’s guided haptic navigation system, which means that the handlebars vibrate to cue the operator which direction to turn. There is no GPS screen to distract the rider while they tour the city."
