She feels her thoughts are constructed from a traditional line of thinking. She fails to make strong connections between the education she receives and the real world around her. So she wonders about life, her life, and feels the weight of the waves of doctrines and falsehood smashing against her. She finds it hard to think clearly amongst the raging waters and without some alternative perspective, she may never have the clear blue thoughts she dreams about. She envies the seagulls and their ability to fly away and distance themselves from the storm's power.
The power of an image always exceeds what can be said about it. Painting also leads to cognition.
I am currently working on a series of works called "Modern parabolas" through which i am always trying to provoke a reaction or to arouse reflection from the viewer. I like to say i paint open windows for interpretation, but as far as i am concerned, my paintings are visual stories commenting on things that matters to me. Painting comes to me as a means to express myself and allows me to depict my engaged yet poetic vision of the world. The exploration of both the objective world and the unconscious is to me the very essence of my artistic practice. Human condition is an inevitable and necessary field of work. In each and every pieces i do, i try to highlight some personal disturbances, societal problems or positive, sometimes utopian, observations on the world.
