Presence of Nature in Sandor's Creation is indisputable. In the past years Sandor is creating in, from and about nature. Mystical load of the work is guiding us in direction of old, ancient beliefs. Even if the work it was created digitally, using old photo's from previous years, it shows a devotion, an undeniable love for Nature.
Interesting fact about this work that it was created in an environment where Nature is present just due the Sun and the (Mediterranean) Sea, Nature in general being destroyed along the year in the island of Malta due the mindless construction and human negligence all over the island.
Sándor was Born in Sepsiszentgyörgy, Transylvania (Romania) in 1980. After he finished his studies (Visual Art and Painting Department, School of art Brasov, Romania) in 2003 he settle in Budapest (Hungary) where he is working like a freelance visual artist, painting and restoring fresco's. He attends countless international group exhibitions, and he had one personal photo exhibition in Székely National Museum, Sepsiszentgyörgy (RO) and one in Budapest (HU) also. During his career he is involved in painting, icon painting, photo, video, performance art. Finally in the past 5 years he is concentrating parallel on digital and nature art doing his own projects in Romania, Hungary, Scotland (UK) and Malta.
While he is using a variety of modern technologies, materials and processes in each project his methodology is consistent. In a world that is constantly changing via incredible leaps in technology and unbelievable strains upon the environment he is constantly questioning our connection to the land and our loss of connection to that land.
Sandor believes that energy connects us within space and time to each other, to our planet and cosmos. Performance and ritual have always played an essential role in his work. He is finding peace and fulfillment in the creative process, especially when he is experimenting and combining different mediums.
