Thursday's #DIY from Natural #Witch is...
🌿#Vanilla & #GreenTea #Oatmeal #Face #Scrub
CHECK out my Instagram post for more photos and don't forget I post a new DIY project every Thursday! This scrub is so #luxurious. It smells absolutely #divine and is fabulous for your #skin. The best part about this scrub? It incorporates a lot of things that you probably already have around your house! Making #homemade scrubs is not only #costeffective but is also a #fun and creative way to make #quality natural #exfoliants for yourself and as gifts for your loved ones. It's actually quite simple to make batches of scrubs-coming up with new and exciting ingredient combinations is all part of the enjoyment! You can create scrubs for your face, hands, feet, and all over your body using an array of fragrance combinations, different base carriers, and natural ingredients such as #flowers, #herbs, citrus rinds, and much more. The key is to get #creative! One little time before you embark into the world of scrub making. Make sure to be cautious with essential oils. While they seem harmless, these small and #fragrant bottles of oil can greatly affect the body and skin. You could possibly burn your skin or react negatively to certain oils if you do not blend them correctly or put too many drops in your mix. So if you are unsure, just do a little research and you'll be well on your way to becoming a homemade scrub-making pro! This blend that we are doing is really great for most skin types!
What you need:
🌿5 bags of high quality organic green tea
🌿3/4 cup of rolled oats
🌿1/2 cup of white #sugar
🌿2 TB. raw organic #honey
🌿3/4 cup #sweetalmondoil
🌿15 drops vanilla essence 🌿5 drops of #lavender essential oil 👉To MAKE: Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until well combined. I like to mix the dry ingredients first it makes it easier to get everything incorporated later. Store the mixture in a mason jar or airtight container in a cool place. You can use the mixture for up to three weeks after making it. To use, scrub the mixture on your face for two to four minutes. Gently massage across your face, neck, and chest in a circular motion. You can also leave it on your face as a mask for 5-10 minutes. Wash the scrub away and apply a #hydrating face cream or oil. #naturalskincare #ello #nontoxic #chemicalfree
