Today's song of the day:
"No Longer Mine" by the Watchmen. Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, they released several critically acclaimed albums throughout the 90's. In 2001 they released what I consider to be their greatest work, "Slomotion", to the dismay of their record label, who only wanted a greatest hits package + 2 new songs. The new sound relied heavily on electronic drum tracks, built using their Macintosh computers, a somewhat novel concept at the time.
Not long after this was released, the band broke up. (They have since re-united for a few live dates and re-released a deluxe edition of a previous album).
Perfect for long autumn walks, feeling leaves crunch beneath your shoes, and thinking about things that once were but no longer are.
