Morning arrives. The good news is that halfway through the night, the seed-bats disappeared from the little plateau where Our Heroes had camped for the night. This is good news because every so often they would run into the canvas of the tent where they were holed up, sometimes latching on and crawling around on its surface. Whoever was on watch would have to make sure they didn't find their way to the tent flap and find their way inside.
The bad news is that they were chased away by a stiff, chill wind that chases clouds across the sky, around the spire, and through the camp. Every surface outside the tent is coated with cold dew, and there's no sign of the sun providing enough warmth to evaporate it anytime soon.
Lady Lavender slips out of the tent at dawn, carefully picking her way past the other sleepers, her pack slung over one shoulder. "Just going to go change clothes."
