My name is Ryosuke Takamura. I live in Fukui which is located on the east coast around the center of Japan's main island. It is a small and quiet place. There are 47 prefectures in Japan, but Fukui is often one of the last prefectures people think of. Fukui is surrounded by a lot of nature, such as mountains, rivers, and the sea, which is why it is chosen as one of the most livable prefectures in Japan. Currently, Fukui is facing several issues including "Area rebirth", "Youth reduction", and "Depopulation". I take and show pictures of Fukui where I was born and grew up, to transmit to all over Japan, even the whole world, and this is my life work. I would love for people to feel the attraction of Fukui through my photos. I love Fukui.
