Mariana Souza (b. 1997) was born in São Paulo, Brazil and is now based in Nashville, Tennessee. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Photography and Media Art at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her work explores the human ability of adaptation and transformation, using the sense of home to create conversations about identity and culture. Using her own experiences to discuss conforming to new environments, Mariana highlights certain aspects of the psyche, creating narratives on human interactions and unnoticed details of the everyday life.
