I should be doing an "About Us" article for a client.
...and instead I just keep thinking I want to submit an entry to the Not-For-Print 2nd edition collection (entitled "Resist").
As my entry I'll submit my digital paintings "Bridge", "Punch", and the two "US Flag" piece combined as one. And I would write an explainer as to how those paintings were inspired by the happenings around the US Presidential elections & aftermath thereof. I need to prepare the text; I want the NFP curators to at least somewhat adequately see the context of the pieces, from my own point of view.
Interpretation is free though, I'm totally down with that, but I really want them to at least get me and get the art, in the sense that they could (perhaps vaguely) get why I did the paintings the way I did them.
I'd also point a "honorable mention" of sorts to my "chalkboard" piece, to the "resistor" (especially the "resistor" since so many of you Dear Friends seem to have had fun & were entertained by that one, hehe), and any other piece which comes to mind. Perhaps the "Intercontinental Ballistic Missile", for example. And I'd get back to that I chose the aforementioned three primary pieces as my chosen entry to best "portray" (in a sense) what I think about #Resist in the context of #2017.
And of course we've gotta mention ElloResist as well.
Anyways yeah, that's the plan. This Ello post is not that entry though. Hopefully I'll be able to make the actual entry before submissions are closed.
There. I've said my piece. Now to get back to contractual-obligations work.
