"Social censorship" Drawings of Instagram followers who are told to follow the rules and guidelines of the Instagram society which now censor the most absurd things and teach the young what is "right" and "wrong" imagery according to them. It's all twisted, how women in compromising situations are okay as long as they look hot, but breastfeeding women or menstrual blood glimpsed on a sheet on a bed is flagged and banned.
"Trop femmes" on censorship of women throughout the centuries. How women's knowledge and accomplishments have been censored out from our history books, leaving only images of humble mothers or burning witches left for our daughters to read.
Did you know Albert Einsteins first wife's knowledge in mathematics and physics perhaps contributed to his work? There is some evidence "but not strong enough" but there is an idea out there that she did the mathematics for him because that was her forte.
Some say Mileva Einstein-Maric didn't contribute because there isn't enough proof, also that she never published anything herself... Here's a wild thought: MAYBE the reason she didn't fight to take credit or publish anything was because Albert dumped her ass leaving her with two sons, one suffering from schizophrenia and someone had to take care of their kids. I'm thinking MAYBE that had something to do with it... duh.
"Damnatio Memoriae" or "The Government Snake That Ate My Heritage" - My most personal piece.
Damnatio Memoriae is a strategic and cruel form of censorship trying to wipe something out of human memory.
It's about ow the government put my mother as a child in boarding school along with her siblings to erase her Sami heritage, language, traditions and replace it with Finnish culture, language and lifestyle in the 60's.
My grandfather whispered to my mother "remember, if anyone asks we are Finlanders." The threats, the hate aimed at Sami people, still lingering today.
How my former project leader told me "I hate Sami people" to my face the day after me telling him I was Sami at an after work with our team.
I now have a deep longing to know more about Sami people but I'm staggering in the dark, taking online classes of Sami languages (along with my mother) and doing what I can to reclaim a piece of what we once had.
Anyway. Censorship is everywhere, but so is blabbermouths like me. Love and Peace and Equality for All!
