This selection of three images is comprised of digital image manipulations created from original paintings made with oil, acrylic, and gouache. The original process of creation involved imprinting several portions of the artist's anatomy (breasts, mons pubis and right hand) on canvas. Digital manipulation processes involved a combination of iPhone apps completed on iPhone7.
The original intention of the second painting of this series ("Prometheus meets Pandora") was to create a dual statement contextualizing the status of international copyright law/digital landscapes and the status of female bodies seen as property throughout history by the presentation of disembodied anatomy.
A secondary intention became reality when, as the artist became a "journalist gone rogue," and the paintings became part of the backlink structure included in a blog article condemning publications present at a press roundtable for Dallas VideoFest for being latently, at least in the artist's view, misogynist.
The artist then created a blog to subvert the censorship she may have encountered submitting her work for publication elsewhere and covered the remaining portion of Dallas VideoFest.
