The Improper Use of Prepositions
Notty Bumbo, 2019
It seems I’ve been used by the improper clause,
Sustained for no other reason than, if, when.
So many have proposed being on rather than in,
Sustained winds well in excess,
How can we entertain her ideas when she, does she,
Will she wonder at the intervals between and among?
How is not possible to ascertain at the nightclub of dreams,
Yet and unless they arrive in the early moments.
This is a kakistocracy, beyond imaginary emptiness.
There is in the void a useful fiction,
Frictionless gears grinding to a halt.
However and never without endless complications,
There is doubt as to my incompetency for trials,
Tribulations widen the reach of rivers,
This flow of time developed a stutter, a fluttering
Heart without compunctions, conjunctivitis
Spreads easily among thieves.
You thought this was going but baby it’s already gone.
