It’s good to be back on Ello, especially given the exciting news of the mobile app release. I just returned after a 3-week hiatus from social media. It was a decision more-or-less forced by external circumstances. The month of May gave me a good wallop. I left my job, on my own terms, after three and a half years. I was nearly hospitalized after a severe allergic reaction (which landed me in bed for 5 days straight), and I’ve been told to leave the apartment I’ve been occupying for the past ten years by the new building owner (rapid gentrification). Damn.
It may be forced change, but once the dust settles (or blows away), the air will be fresh again. As of right now, I have more studio time to dedicate to new projects I’ve been meaning to start. Also, in preparing to say goodbye to this humble abode I’ve decided to turn the transition into a photo project and begin capturing views of this place I’ve known for a full, colorful decade. Plus, I have other thoughts and ideas on all this rapid shift, but I’m not going to bore you with all of that right now.
I do want to say thanks and welcome to all the new followers of the past month. And, for those of you who have commented on my previous posts (and received only the sounds of crickets in return) I’ll just say thanks to all! I look forward to sifting back through the conversations, as well as stopping by to see all of your recent additions.
With all that said, I’ll add a goodnight, and see you back tomorrow to celebrate the launch of the mobile app !
