The Atlantic Wall | Stephan Vanfleteren
The Atlantic Wall was a massive fortification of gargantuan proportions. Built by Nazi Germany between 1943 and 1945 it reaches from the far north of Norway, down through Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France, until the borders to Spain. This extensive system of steel and concrete was constructed against a possible allied invasion. Photographer Stephan Vanfleteren documented in his images these remaining artifacts.
