Took the time to take in this gorgeous sunset, not leaving the beach until the entire sun disappeared beyond the horizon. It was good to bend down to the waves, ankle deep in the ocean, and have the water lap at the base of my camera mere millimeters above the waves. It was worth finding new ways to slow down on this trip and enjoy the little things like this again. Everything has been so hectic for the past few years, moving at a strange, muted pace that gives as much an impression of calm as Tinnitus. Anxiety always lingers in the rafters, ready to pounce and overtake. These moments help to re-establish calm, but the impact is sadly short-lived. Here’s to continuing the search for healing.
