Drifting into the spaces between the stars — that's how her whole life have felt like.
The vast emptiness of it all scared her at first, uncomfortable the second but eventually, she got used to it. She was not complaining anymore. She was slowly starting to accept the idea that this is where she belongs.
But is this really where she belonged? A question so striking, it was the kind of question that sparked rebellions, created movements and forged heroes. A question so unmistakably strong it stole her breath away.
Her knees were shaking and soon enough, her whole body was shaking. Her palms had began to sweat. She was frantically blinking back tears. All of a sudden, the space did not feel like home, the glass walls she built to contain the emptiness of space were slowly breaking. She was starting to break, but not because she was getting weaker but because something inside her snapped. Something inside her was starting to burn. Something inside her was starting to grow.
She was starting to grow.
