My work is about epic moments. The beauty lives everywhere and I pursue it whenever it dwells. In this picture is the beauty of the face of one policeman under the Arc de Triomphe. He was the only one looking at me when I took the picture. The beauty is about that: surprise, spontaneity, foreign, dignity. I live in a country as a foreigner (Brazil), and I am amazed by every corner I visit. But when I took pictures of the people in the street I try to make them look like heroes, because the beauty is about narrative too. That is why I say there is Dignity in the Beauty. I am rescuing the dignity in the monotony. I introduce some elements of illustration sometimes to enhance the main role. I am a writer too, so the photography and the illustration as just sides of the same quality I try to express with my art: Storytelling.
