Distance, destiny, disdain, and desire are
Often labeled as black or white yet
Often meant to define entry or exit
Rejection or approval,
Success or failure
Anarchy and irony
Rivet reality’s black and white chessboard
Ending its color spectrum at grey
Guessing and planning
Render goals missed or
Enthralling throughout one’s
Youth or maturity.
People forget between a cup and a lip is a slip.
Open ended situations are maybes
Revealed as doors or portals of greys
Tethered with circumstance
And grounded by stance;
Lost to dreams, thrown to experience yet
Sifted in reflection visualizing hope’s grey doors or portals.
Inspired by :"In the universe, there are things that are known, and things that are unknown, and in between, there are doors" - William Blake
